  Spices (Garam Masala) are the lifeblood of every food in Pakistan and India, and  Spices (Garam Masala) used in food for flavour and aroma.
Different spices are used in different foods and in different quantity.
Different spices are taken in different quantities and different types of spices are made from them such as Biryani Masala, Qorma Masala and Garam Masala (whole spice powder). Of these, the Garam Masala (whole spice powder) is the one that is used in almost every recipe, Whether it is biryani, karahi, curry or any vegetable.



Ingredients

Cumin Seeds………………………….1 Cup
Black Pepper………………………….1/2 Cup
Cloves…………………………………..1/4 Cup
Black Cardamom……………………..1/4 Cup (15)
Green Cardamom ……………………25
Nutmeg………………………………….1
Mace (Javetri)………………………….6 To 8 Pieces
Cinnamon……………………………….8 To 10 Sticks



Method

* Roast all the ingredients in a dry pan and take out and cool.
* Finely grind all the ingredients in a grinder.
* Strain all the spice and store it in an airtight jar, and use as needed.
